Tea Party says city violated its free speech rights
PORT ST. LUCIE - Treasure Coast Tea Party organizers charged Port St. Lucie officials with blocking, isolating and surrounding their July 4 FreedomFest booth with police officers this week.

But city officials said they protected the rights of Treasure Coast Tea Party members. The group advocates limited government and opposes federal bailouts.

However, we are required to make this space available to avoid the cost of litigation." Mr. Iken said only his organization and Sonlight Community Church were isolated from other booths in the section. "You couldn't see our booth because the sign was blocking our booth," he said.
