We DID IT Again!! - DREAM & DISCLOSE ACT VOTED DOWN
On Tuesday we defeated the DREAM Act: the legislation full of unaccountable spending that we can't afford and unsustainable mandates on state budgets in order to give publicly funded financial aid to illegal immigrants.
Today we defeated the DISCLOSE Act: the legislation that sought to silence us in our political free speech, starting with this election, while exempting unions and large special interest groups from the restrictions forced on us.
The Fax Project - We are very excited that the test by sending faxes to the Senators went very well. In two days we sent over 2,000 faxes! Senator LeMieux, Collins, and Snowe definitely know that YOU are watching them!
And in both cases, both pieces of legislation were crafted behind closed doors, away from the sunshine and the American people; no debate or opportunities for amendments to be added - corrupt and arrogant.
But you did it. You called and emailed and let Congress know that these types of bills will no longer be tolerated by the American people.
Thank you. Thank you for all of your efforts and your tireless commitment to the principles that make America so exceptional. Take a moment, in all of this chaos, to recognize that what you are doing is making a difference. Your heart, your passion, and your integrity will see us through to the end.
We have a lot of battles ahead, including another possible battle against the DREAM Act, but for today, we can smile.
