On April 15, 2009, 1.2 million people in over 850 cities across the United States of American held “Tea Parties” to protest the bailouts and fiscal abuse perpetrated by the government. This was just the beginning of a larger movement aimed at restoring the basic free-market principles our country was built on and holding the government responsible for excessive spending.
In Palm Beach County, together we had over 3,000 people at our Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th, 2009. After the huge success of the Tax Day Tea Party in Palm Beach County, many have asked “what’s next.” Our answer – the Tax Day Tea Party was only the beginning. We are not going to stop until our voice is heard and our government is accountable to the people as the founders intended.
The Tea Party effort is a grassroots, collaborative volunteer organization made up of every day American citizens from across the country. We take pride in the fact that we are part of 50 state network of leaders and activists using nothing more than the internet, a few websites and a burning desire to restore freedom.
